RESTORATION OF CITIZENSHIP

Did you know that in North Carolina and most states, your citizenship is automatically restored after you have completed your sentence, parole and probation? You should update your voter registration.

Be aware, further, that you are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. That means your citizenship is not revoked simply because you are charged and held on a bond you can't afford. You have a right to vote even while in custody awaiting trial.
